The float glass has high light transmission and optical clarity. It is used wherever high visibility & clarity are required such as doors, windows, tabletops, mirrors, etc. It is produced in various thicknesses that suit our client's needs. It meets the Standard Specifications for Flat Glass ASTM C1036 for quality of flat, transparent & clear glass for the production of architectural glass products and for mirror products (when specified).

The tempered glass that is manufactured by AMI is fully tempered. It is approximately 4 times as strong as annealed glass with the same thickness and configuration. When broken by impact, fully tempered glass fractures into relatively small pieces which are less likely to cause injury.

Fully tempered glass is intended for use in applications where its strength or safety characteristics may be required. For some applications, such as, doors used for passage, tub and shower enclosures and fixed glass in proximity to a walking surface, fully tempered glass is required by building codes and ordinances. It is often used for other applications where the properties of fully tempered glass are desirable such as table tops, counter tops, show case enclosures and similar applications. The tempered glass manufactured by Architectural Materials meets Safety Glass Standard ANSI Z97.1-2004 & the requirements of CPSC 16CFR1201 Category II. It also meets the ASTM C1036 & ASTM C1048 for Kind FT (fully tempered) for quality.
